What Lies Beneath The Tree Behind The Church?
MajesticGroove Entertainment™ cast several actors in the successful independent film, The Tree Behind The Church. The film is currently in the top 33% of all downloaded movies on Comcast's On Demand! Darrell also served as Consulting Producer for the film which features an original track, Lip Smack, by MajesticGroove™!
The Film was written and directed by Danny Scott Cerchiaro of Miracle Studios/What Box Productions in Woodbridge, NJ.
Plot Synopsis: Five young actors, looking to rehearse their play, are offered the use of the Whitestone Valley Playhouse. They are ushered inside by kindly old Mr. Nichols, the somewhat sketchy caretaker. Once inside the 1895 reconditioned church they begin to hear voices and decide to return when there is daylight. But daylight finds them locked inside and as the voices become ghostly, maniacal screams they are unable to escape. One by one they fall unconscious.
From here the spirits commandeer their bodies and they are forced to reenact the events of a one hundred year old interracial love affair, the violent, racist reaction to it and the three resulting murders.
Did these murders really happen? Who is Mr. Nichols? And what lies beneath The Tree Behind The Church?

5 more months ON-Demand
As of November 30th - in just 10 weeks, the Tree Behind the Church passed the 105,087 viewer mark with a remarkably low 1.3 Fast Forward Rate. That means that 103,721 households (they estimate a household as 3.2 people) watched The Tree straight through in just the first 10 weeks! That's 321,907 people! The first run On-Demand went from September 19, 2006 - January 19, 2007. Comcast was so pleased with the movie's performance On-Demand however, that beginning April 19, 2007, The Tree will begin another run - this time for 5 months. A possible Netflix deal is also in discussions so thank you to all who have supported the film thus far.
Unique Acts Wanted
To celebrate the renewal of The Tree On-Demand, there will be another premiere party in April 2007. The event will be held at Mercer Community College in West Winsor, NJ. MajesticGroove Entertainment™ has been selected to book the talent for this event which will include members of the press, media and entertainment community. We are currently seeking magicians and other unique acts (comedians, jugglers, etc.) to provide entertainment for the invited guests. In addition to pay, performers will be provided with a full meal for themselves and their guests/crew. If you'd like to perform at this event, please forward your resume/bio and website links to casting@majesticgroove.com - please note that unfortunately we are not booking musicians for this event.
